We'll kick things off with a relaxed welcome, complimentary beverage order, book drop-off, and a quick introduction to how the afternoon works.

Then it's time for Book Bestie Speed Dating! 💕

You'll be seated in a small group of fellow readers and move through 4 rounds of new conversations, with curated prompts designed to spark real connection — no awkward small talk required.

Expect questions around:

• favourite fall reads & cozy books
• current reads & forever favourites
• bookish hot takes & unpopular opinions
• favourite tropes & characters
• reading habits & TBRs
• your ideal bookish day

And because finding your people shouldn't end when the speed dating does, you'll also get a Book Bestie Bingo card to help you keep the conversation going throughout the event!

🔄 The Book Swap

Bring 1 gently loved or new book that you're ready to give a new home!

Wrap your book before the event and add a few clues about what's underneath — but don't reveal the title!

At the end of the speed dating portion, we'll gather together for our Book Swap reveal, where everyone will choose a wrapped book based on its clues and recommendations.

Then we'll reveal who your book came from 👀

🍁 The Final Social

Once the speed dating and book swap are finished, the rest of the afternoon is yours!

Use your Bingo card to find any book besties you haven't met yet, exchange socials, take photos, talk books, and hang out with the people you connected with throughout the afternoon.

We'll also have a little bookish surprise to wrap things up. ✨
