This one's gonna be BIG! Join us in BUSSELTON for five unforgettable days of dancing, music, and community by the coast.

Boogie Down South is South West Australia's annual Lindy Hop exchange, hosted by South West Swing each September in the Margaret River Region.
To celebrate our 10th event, we’re bringing together six world-class instructors. With three class levels on offer, there’ll be something for everyone, from newcomers to seasoned dancers.
AND to make sure we can fit *allllll* the people, we’re excited to be using a brand spankin’ new venue for 2026. This main hub will be the heart of the weekend — your go-to spot for workshops, socials, and all the good vibes. This one big venue makes sure that we can provide access to more people to the event to take advantage of arranging these six amazing teachers.
Less travel time, more dance time (and down time!), and plenty of room for everyone to soak up the magic.✨
You can expect all the BDS usuals:
- five nights of socials and special events
- three main days of workshops across our 6 teachers
- incredible bands and DJs
- late night
- and more special events like this year's Monday Dinner, Lunch & Learn
Then after this big 10th Edition celebration, we’ll return to our “normal-sized” BDS format — so don’t miss this one-off supersized year!
