Discover the Art of Crafting Large Bonsai Trees with Our Immersive Workshop. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or new to the world of bonsai, our 2-day workshop offers a deep dive into the intricacies of cultivating and caring for large bonsai trees. Led by expert bonsai artist Mason Keane, this experience promises to enhance your skills and knowledge while fostering a love for these magnificent creations.
- Date: 20th – 21st July 2024
- Time: Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (lunch provided (1 hour), Open fire 4-6pm wine + beers. Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (lunch provided (1 hour), Open fire 4-close wine + beers.
- Location: Bonsai at the Bay. 6 Streamside Street, Woollamia, Jervis Bay NSW 2540 + Huskisson Community Hall.

- Hands-On Experience with Large Bonsai Trees: Dive into practical activities and techniques tailored for larger bonsai trees, regardless of your prior experience.
- Expert Guidance: Learn from Mason Keane as he shares essential care and maintenance practices, including repotting, seasonal timing, and pruning strategies.
- Styling Mastery: Learn the art of carving, jinning and shari using mallet, carving chisel and power tools.
- Bonsai Investment Insights: Delve into the world of bonsai collecting, understanding factors to consider when investing in these botanical treasures.
- Selection and Care Techniques: Master the art of pruning, pinching, and selecting buds and leaves to ensure the health and vitality of your bonsai masterpieces.

Workshop Inclusions:
- All Tools and Materials: We provide all the necessary tools, wires, pots, soil, and bonsai stock for you to work with during the workshop.
- Lunch and Refreshments: Enjoy a delicious lunch spread during each day of the workshop, allowing you to refuel and recharge.
- Open Fire + Drinks: Unwind by the open fire after the workshop, sipping on wine or beer as you connect with fellow bonsai enthusiasts.

Optional Extras:
- Take the opportunity to purchase bonsai plants and additional accessories to expand your collection and enhance your bonsai creations.
- Experience Only: $450 (no tree purchase)
- Masterpiece Experience: $450. You have the unique offer of purchasing the tree you work on during the workshop. Priced up to $2500 (some trees valued at $5k to $10k, available at a discounted rate).
- Pricing varies based on the tree purchase post-workshop.
