Johnson’s work as Fruit Bats has made him a beloved figure in the indie world, and Josh Kaufman has played with everyone from Bob Weir to Taylor Swift to The Hold Steady. Despite that pedigree, their music is loose and easy, yet still full of wisdom and depth.
