We are thrilled to announce a unique 'Workshop Day' to bring our community together and raise additional funds for our beloved school 🥋 This special event will offer a dive into the fascinating Japanese culture that resonates with our members. 🌟
Here's a preview of the engaging workshops we have lined up:
🖌️ 14:00 - Calligraphy: Brush Strokes and Elegance
Immerse yourself in the art of Japanese Calligraphy with Tomita Sensei. Learn how to wield the brush to create beautiful characters and express words in an artistic form. This workshop is a perfect blend of tradition and creativity, suitable for all who appreciate the beauty of written language. Please bring your own materials if you have them; extra brushes will be available, and bring some newspaper to practise on.
👐🏽 14:00 - Shiatsu: The Healing Touch
Experience the therapeutic power of Shiatsu. Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork based on traditional Chinese medicine concepts, including the use of finger and palm pressure to improve the flow of energy in the body. This workshop will introduce you to basic techniques for relaxation and self-care. Comfortable clothing is recommended, and the workshop is limited to 20 participants.
🥋 16:00 - Aikido: The Art of Harmony
Immerse yourself in the peaceful and powerful world of aikido, the Japanese martial art. Whether you're new to martial arts or an experienced practitioner, this workshop is open to all levels and focuses on its fundamental principles. Comfortable clothing is recommended.
