This is a 6 hour workshop. Each hour is 45 minutes of workshopping, followed by 15 minutes to ask questions, stretch your legs, walk around, etc. This is that workshop that explains to you everything about bone health that your doctor never has time to tell you. DEXA scan and it's pitfalls are discussed. Bone Quality and Bone Quantity are explained, as well as how both are measured. Where to get a good DEXA scan, TBS score, and Vertebral Fracture Assessment. Dr. Jen's special, herbal bone health tea is explained, and recipe is shared. Her special bone broth is explained, and that recipe is shared. We talk about vitamins, minerals, and the proper forms of Calcium, Collagen, and Vitamin D. Additional labs to rule out other reasons for bone loss are discussed. We talk about your GI tract and Kidney function, and how they affect your bone. Medications and their actions, and side effects are covered. You will be taught how to avoid the side effects with proper nutrition, if you DO need to go on the meds. We will touch on Gizmos, which works, and which don't. Proper Exercise for bone density and bone flexibility will be discussed: ie: walking won't work. Come and nerd out with me on the living, every changing tissue called your skeleton.
