About this Event
The series is designed to highlight the work of Early Career Researchers (ECRs) across the chemical sciences who hold intersectional identities. Our aim is to create a space where cutting-edge research and lived experiences are shared side by side.
All speakers are UK-based early-career chemical scientists within 8 years of their first academic appointment with intersectional identities. Join us as we hear their lived experiences and career journey whilst also connecting to peers through collaboration and networking. This event sponsored by Royal Society of Chemistry will be an in-person event.
Join us for a talk by Dr. Ravina Mistry who is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool . She will share her research research focusing on the industrial application of enzymes and polysaccharide analysis for sustainable alternatives to petrochemical derivatives used in consumer products. Particularly, how to use sulfotransferases to modify polysaccharides using absorbance assays and NMR.
Dr Mistry will also share her career journey as a person of North Indian heritage growing up in a deprived area of the North of England. Join us for Dr Mistry’s seminar, where she will highlight her research alongside her career journey and lived experiences.
