Bon-odori dance workshop for beginners.
What is Bon-odori?
It is not Tai Chi. It is not Karate. It is a traditional dance from Japan.
Bon-odori is a Japanese folk dance most often performed outdoor and danced in concentric circles.
Bon-odori is a public, participatory dance that is enjoyed by young and old, men and women, and both trained and novice dancers.
Each region of Japan has its own variety of Bon-odori that celebrates its own unique culture and heritage.
With a little practice, anyone will be able to dance Bon-odori!
At the workshop, you will be introduced most well-known variety of Bon-odori that are danced across Japan.
No need to bring a partner. Just come along wearing loose-fit clothe (Kimono or Yukata if you have any) and comfortable footwear.
