Bon Odori Festival 2026

Everyone is welcome to our Bon Odori Festival! As part of our Buddhist Religion, we honor those who have passed by celebrating them through Japanese traditional dancing called Bon Odori. Everyone is welcome to dance, enjoy the food or just watch the dancing and taiko performances.
The festival will occur in front of our temple on Fawcett Avenue up from UW Tacoma. Feel free to bring a blanket, small chairs to sit on the sidewalk or hillside on the West side of the street.
Dance lessons: July 14 and 16, 7:00-8:30 pm in our social hall/basement. Everyone is welcome to learn the dances.
