Opening Day Celebration FREE!SATURDAY - Jan 11, 2025!!
Celebrate Opening Day of our 28th year with a free day of community classes in Traditional Dance, Percussion (Bomba & Plena), Children's Coqui Dance, and Afro-Boricua Warrior Arts (Cocobalé).
Everyone is welcome from any culture or background!
Bomba y Mas is a commmunity, non-performance class for those who want to learn Bomba, Plena, Montañas, and more!
Go fearlessly to the drum! Adult beginners and Teens learn paso básicos (basic steps) for different Bomba rhythms. As learning Bomba is a "lifetime" study, intermediate students are pushed beyond what they already know.
This class helps you discover your Bomba style and develop your own personal solo dance in front of live drums! Bomba! Adult and Junior Performing Company members enjoy this intensive class that helps them set their bomba solos apart!
For those who excel, there is an opportunity to move into our Performing Company and enjoy performance opportunities.
Try any of our classes for free on Jan 11 2025.
