About this Event
Inspired by the two numbers of Berthe Trépat’s underground zine created by Chilean poets Bruno Montané and Roberto Bolaño upon their arrival in Barcelona in the late 1970s, Marc Caellas and Esteban Feune de Colombi imagined during the pandemic an apocryphal route through the streets of the Raval, the funky neighborhood in which both writers established as soon they arrived to Spain.
Five years later, the creators of Compañía La Soledad designed a double apocryphal route, this time through the streets of Dallas, where, focused on poems, anecdotes and fragments of novels of the author of The Savage Detectives, they imagine what could’ve happen if Bolaño and his poetic squad might have walked under the shade of Oak Cliff’s trees.
Two performances at 12p and 5:30p.
This event is presented by Southwest Review, one of the nation’s oldest literary magazines, publishing exceptional fiction, poetry, and essays since 1915. Based in Dallas, Texas, the magazine has been a platform for both emerging and established writers, fostering literary conversation across generations. Its dedication to storytelling and literary excellence makes it the perfect partner for this anniversary celebration.
