Bok Tower Gardens is a beautiful and peaceful botanical garden located in Lake Wales. It offers 250 gorgeous, shady acres to explore, including a 205 foot carillon tower that houses a 60 bell carillon that plays several times each day. There is also a 1930's Mediterranean style mansion, El Retiro, that is open for exploration for an additional fee.
There is a lovely cafe where we can enjoy an air conditioned break with a tasty lunch.
Admission to the gardens is $20 per adult. If you would like to explore El Retiro, there is an additional fee of $10.
We'll meet at the entrance to the gardens, just next to the parking lot.
Bring plenty of water and your camera. I'd recommend a cooling towel and perhaps a neck fan as well, because it will most certainly be hot!
