hosted by Sarah RayneBody Temple Dance is a somatic and spiritual movement language that combines dance, therapeutic somatic movement, mystical teachings, energetic awareness, and modern trauma healing technology to support people in feeling their feelings, experiencing presence, exploring sensations in their bodies, and awakening to the inherent aliveness that comes with being human.
Each class is unique, and begins with a teaching on a theme & exploration through practices such as readings, writing prompts, energy awareness exercises, chanting, or meditation. We then begin to move to a specially curated playlist, intended to bring us further into the theme, and explore it through the language of our body and felt sensations. The movement portion is accessible and open to all bodies & levels of ability - no experience or skill in dance is necessary. Finally, we close with a group discussion to share how we are feeling & what we experienced during class.
The class will begin with a talk on the themes, followed by a guided meditation or similar practice, followed by about 20-25 minutes of active movement practice. After the active movement, we will end with some time for restoration and integration, including hands-on reiki healing for all who’d like to receive it.
All are welcome, no experience or skill in dance or movement necessary!

About Sarah (she/her): Sarah Rayne is a queer witch, a healing artist, and a holder of sacred space. She alchemizes group magic & expands awareness through her ceremony + workshop offerings, and supports clients on their healing journeys through nourishing 1:1 sessions that include tarot readings, reiki energy healing, intuitive guidance, and/or sound healing. She is the founder and magician-in-chief of Firebird Healing Arts, and shares her magic locally in Portland, OR, as well as online, with the whole world.
