About this Event

Garden smarter, not harder! Join us for an engaging presentation by Therese High, Licensed Chiropractic Assistant, to learn techniques to properly use and care for your body to safely complete the necessary functions of gardening and farming.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to join our Nourishing Gardens Through the Seasons community in an interactive discussion about gardening tasks in March/ April to set your garden up for success.

Your Workshop Provider:
Therese, or "Reci" as she's affectionately known, is a Maryland Master Gardener and seasoned healthcare professional with over 28 years of experience. Reci aims to empower gardeners/farmers to safeguard and strengthen their bodies to withstand the physical demands of gardening/farming. She teaches practical techniques for safe movement, such as proper body mechanics for bending, lifting, and kneeling. Her focus is on helping growers move more efficiently, prevent injuries, and alleviate any existing pain, so they can continue to work strong, healthy, and with less strain on their bodies.
