A little bit about Bodegas Volver:

Founded in 2004 by fourth-generation winemaker Rafael Cañizares, Bodegas Volver is at the forefront of modern Spanish winemaking while deeply respecting tradition. The core mission of the estate is the recovery of old, indigenous vineyards—some between 30 and 90 years old—that were nearly lost to time. Working across distinguished regions like Alicante, La Mancha, and Jumilla, Volver champions sustainable viticulture and native grape varieties like Monastrell and Tempranillo. The result is a lineup of incredibly expressive, balanced, and velvety wines that perfectly capture the unique terroir of their historic plots.

A little about Host Kati Wiekiera:

We will be joined by special guest Kati Wiekiera, Export Manager for Bodegas Volver, who will be guiding us through the lineup. Originally from Poland, Kati moved to Spain in 2000 and has spent the last 23 years deeply immersed in the country's culinary and wine sectors. After beginning her career in the renowned olive oil industry of Jaén, her passion for viticulture led her to pursue intensive studies in wine production, tasting, and pairing. With hands-on experience spanning from DO Priorat to DO La Mancha, Kati brings an incredible depth of knowledge and a true passion for Spanish wine.

Parking: Due to limited spacing, we ask that you please do not park in the lot directly in front of Corkdorks’ store. Instead, you are welcome to park in either the lot beside the Corkdorks front lot, or in any open spot on the street. These parking options are free for attendees. Thank you for your cooperation.

All attendees will receive a $20 gift card to Corkdorks.

We do not charge a fee to attend or participate in any of our classroom events. However, because of the tremendous demand for our events, and because seating in our classroom is limited, we charge a nominal prepaid reservation fee to hold your place in the classroom. The amount of the reservation fee varies depending on the size, duration, and content of the event, but is non-refundable if you are unable to attend the event for any reason. If you prepay the reservation fee and attend the event, you will receive a Gift Card in an amount equal to the prepaid reservation fee, which can be redeemed for cash any time after the event or used to purchase merchandise in the store. No refunds. No Exceptions.
