Bocko & Friends Celebrate 25 Years of Music Therapy at BC Childrens

This year marks a meaningful milestone - the 25th anniversary of the Music Therapy Program at BC Children's Hospital. For a quarter of a century, this program has brought comfort, creativity and healing to young patients and their families through the power of music. To celebrate this legacy and support its future, we are hosting a special celebration dedicated to raising awareness and funds for this vital service.

The event will bring together community members, healthcare supporters, musicians, and advocates for an evening that highlights the transformative impact of music therapy. Guests will experience live performances, hear inspiring stories from therapists, and gain insight into how music plays a role in emotional expression and overall well-being for children facing medical challenges.

In addition to celebrating past achievements, the event aims to secure continued funding to expand access to music therapy services, invest in specialized instruments and training, and ensure that every child who could benefit has the opportunity to do so. Through community generosity and shared purpose, we hope to strengthen this program for the next generation.

This 25-year celebration is not only a reflection on the program’s remarkable journey but also to raise funds to ensure that the program's vital work continues. All proceeds raised through ticket sales, our silent auction, raffle and donations will go directly towards the Music Therapy Program.
