Last season, the Barflies made a spectacular comeback attempt against the Mavericks Rheine on the road, only to fall short in a game that had fans on the edge of their seats. But redemption came in an unexpected way when Rheine was forced to forfeit due to a lack of players on the regularly scheduled day. The rescheduled game later in the season was also canceled due to weather and field conditions, leaving the Barflies without a proper chance to settle the score and the fans disappointed from a season cut short.
