California is calling and the Bobs are answering!!

Come move your body and dance with the Bobs Sunday, March 15th @11am.

A Flash Bob is a beginner friendly dance workshop led by Bob’s Dance Shop, followed by a surprise flash mob style performance in a public space. The exact performance location remains secret until the moment arrives to preserve the magic.

No judgment. No pressure to be perfect. Just humans moving together. :)

A guided dance workshop with the Bobs

Warm up, movement exploration, confidence building and an easy to follow dance tutorial.

Immediately following the workshop, we walk together to a nearby secret location and prepare for the Flash Bob performance.

This class is beginner friendly. All bodies and skill levels are welcome. If you have two left feet, even better!

Participate at your own pace.

Think stylish beach day picnic when choosing what to wear! Dress to impress. Express yourself! Wear something that makes you feel confident, powerful and free to move.

Please bring: A water bottle, comfortable shoes you can dance and walk in and clothing that allows for movement and self expression. Style is encouraged. Comfort is essential.

We ask that you arrive on time (of course ;) or otherwise no later than 20 minutes after the start time. We get it, traffic sucks but we want the full experience with you!!

There will be parking options all around the park.

This is a 3 hour commitment consisting of an instructional workshop and the surprise performance. The instructional will last 2 hours, from 11am - 1pm. At the end of class, we will walk to the flash Bob location and get set up. The flash Bob will happen at random following the tutorial, between 1pm - 2pm.

If you love the spirit of Flash Bob but prefer not to dance, we welcome a small number of volunteers to support the experience.

Volunteers help by capturing reaction videos from the surrounding area using their own iPhone or Android device during the flash mob moment.

This role is for folks who are excited to help document the joy without being part of the choreography.

If this feels aligned, please reach out ahead of time so we can coordinate details and maintain the surprise of the experience.

There may be photographers and videographers present capturing the experience.

By attending, you consent to being filmed or photographed and to that media being shared online or used in future Bob content.

If you have concerns or questions, please reach out in advance.

We do our best to choose locations that are as accessible as possible but please note that we will be walking from rehearsal to our performance destination which can be anywhere from 3-15 minutes walking.

If you have specific accessibility needs, feel free to reach out ahead of time and we will do our absolute best to support you.

Tickets are refundable up to 24 hours before the event.

If you can no longer attend, please let us know so we can offer your spot to someone else!

Unfortunately not. Flash Bobs rely on surprise. Please only attend if you plan to dance with us or volunteer..

“Can friends come watch the performance?

We prefer to keep the intimacy of the rehearsal space to only the people participating to avoid any feelings of outside judgements. As far as the flash bob performance itself, we ask that if any friends are there to support you that they keep it discreet to maintain the element of surprise!
