Bob’s Brown Ale is a special beer brewed in memory of our friend, Charles “Bob” Hirsch, who fought cancer valiantly for many years. Bob lived with cancer for half his life, but he never complained or felt better. To quote Bob, “In a way I feel lucky to have cancer. It’s allowed me to do things that I would not normally have done.” Bob loved beer. He is an inspiration to all of us.
Bob’s Brown Ale is brewed once a year and released every May 14th (Bob’s birthday). A portion of the lane proceeds be collect will be donated in Bob’s honor to the Seattle Ronald McDonald House which provides a home-away-from-home for Seattle Children’s Hospital patients and families.
