We’ve organised this year’s Fireworks Display at Poulton Park for Sunday 2 November – sponsored by The Kingston Group.The event always draws thousands of people, and we’re excited to bring another dazzling, family-friendly evening to the town.
The event starts at 4pm with music, food, drinks and fairground rides. The fireworks will light up the sky at 6pm with a display lasting just under 15 minutes.
Food, drink and the funfair will continue until 7pm, after which town council staff and volunteers will ensure everyone exits Poulton Park safely.
We’re excited to be working with Pains Fireworks again – and their brilliant carbon-neutral displays are a big part of why.
This year the Castle Inn will have a pop-up bar at the display – serving seasonally appropriate mulled drinks and more.
We know big public events can sometimes feel a bit hectic for parents. To help, we’re offering free children’s wristbands, which you can pick up from several spots around town, including from the entrances on the night, and:
* our Kingston Road office
* Bradford on Avon Library
* Christ Church Primary School
* Fitzmaurice Primary School
* Leigh Cottage Childcare
* Tiddlywinks Nursery
* Westview Day Nursery & the Shambles Nursery.
Just write your phone number on the wristband and a member from our BOA Youth team will help reunite you with your child if you get separated on the night.
We encourage everyone to travel sustainably to the event – whether by foot, bike, bus or train.
The display is free to watch, but we’ll be collecting donations on the night to help us keep events in the town free.
You can read all about Pains’ carbon neutral dedication on their website.
More details...
The event starts at 4pm and there’ll be music, food, drinks and fairground rides.
The fireworks display will be at 6pm and should last just under 15 minutes. However, the timing might change on the day due to things like the weather. Please keep an eye on our social media for up-to-date information.
Food & drink vendors, as well as the funfair will continue until 7pm. After this, town council staff and volunteers will ensure everyone exits Poulton Park safely.
We’ll do an initial litter sweep at Poulton Park – with a more thorough clean up the next day.
We are aware of issues and concerns from residents around parking nearby. We’re encouraging everyone to walk or cycle to Poulton Park where possible. Volunteers will be directing traffic toward nearby car parks. We’ll be guiding people to enter the site via:
Poulton – the entrance closest to the pavilion and play area – this is also the wheelchair-friendly/accessible entrance to the event
Baileys Barn – through the access that was used during the construction of the skatepark.
The display will be free to watch but we will be encouraging contributions towards the event.
Please be aware there will be no public access to the meadow or skatepark from 3pm.
There will be stewards stationed around Poulton Park before and after the event to provide information and to direct the crowds.
If you’ve got any questions, comments or concerns, please contact us at [email protected] or call 01225 864240.
