BluesRockers featuring Grace Allen turn a blues set into a Bay Area dance party, built on a single house motto: Blues You Can Use. Out front is Grace Allen, a soprano raised in small town Wisconsin who found her voice in church and choir and now bends it to fit a gritty shuffle or a hushed ballad with equal ease. Her influences run from Susan Tedeschi to Tina Turner, and you can hear all of it in the way she works a room.

Behind her stands a lineup of seasoned Bay Area players who have logged decades in clubs and show bands from Chicago to the coast: Bill Weir on bass, Jim Crossley riding a Hammond B3, Jeff Miller on guitar and slide, Greg Sickal driving the drums, and Kevin Galloway on saxophone. Together they cover classic and modern blues with a rock backbone and a horn section that keeps the floor moving. Come for the music you can use, stay because you cannot sit still.
