Vanessa has released six albums with the newest being entitled "Do it My Own Way".
Vanessa is a 15 time Blues Music Award nominee and 5 time winner.
She was born in Texas, grew up in Maryland, and started her career in Philadelphia and now resides in South Carolina. She is heavily influenced by artists Mavis Staples, Sharon Jones, James Brown, Sister Rosetta Thorpe and Aretha Franklin.
