Description: We’ll start the day with a focus on building strong foundations, emphasizing partnership mechanics and communication.

Foundations to Expression Pt. 2
Time: 2:15pm - 4:45pm
Skill Level: Beginner+ / Intermediate
Description: We’ll dive into the exciting landscape of contemporary blues and its adjacent genres - from R&B to Latin Blues and Funk – focusing on expression and navigating diverse sounds. We’ll explore ideas like riffing an idea and different ways we say yest to our partners, culminating in a fun competition to put your skills to the test!

A Box to Think Outside Of
Time: 10:15am - 12:45pm
Skill Level: Intermediate / Advanced
Description: This workshop is dedicated to practica-style progression where we will focus on finding creative ways to say yes to our partnerships. We’ll explore the concepts of Call and Response in the dance, and how a shared understanding – or a “box to think outside of” – opens the door to playful improvisation and experimentation.
