Nick Conte & Yellow Rose to the next Bluegrass Night at Black Squirrel Cub. Nick Conte & Yellow Rose formed to fulfill the vision of a bluegrass band steeped in tradition, while also embracing new elements and original material. Lovers of traditional bluegrass should not miss this show!Nick has a terrific high tenor voice and is a powerful guitar player. He is joined in Yellow Rose by Bobby Baxmeyer, a fine melodic style banjo player, as well as some of New Jersey’s finest bluegrass pickers.

Midnight Flyer has been playing traditional bluegrass in and around Philadelphia since 2014. With a new lineup starting in 2023, the band continues to interpret classic bluegrass tunes, old country favorites, and fiddle tunes with the time tested feeling and groove of great string-band music. Well rehearsed vocal performances, side by side with clean, straightforward instrumental picking, give Midnight Flyer’s live shows the energy and soul that no traditional bluegrass fan should have to do without.

Midnight Flyer is Austin Alfano (Guitar), Ben Cocchiaro (Bass/Fiddle), Andy Davis (Banjo), and Matt Hiller (Mandolin/Bass).

Musicians of all levels! Come early and join the jam! Bring a bluegrass instrument and play with members of the bands and other bluegrass fans in the fantastical back lounge. Or, just pull up a couch and listen to some great spontaneous music making with an inspiring mix of some of the areas most talented pickers-- amateurs and professionals alike!

Black Squirrel Club offers a full bar with an excellent draft selection and delicious signature cocktails. We do not serve food, but you are welcome to bring your own or have it delivered once you arrive.
