Kaintuck Band formed in 2017 and performs traditional and original bluegrass music. The name “Kaintuck” comes from the Native American word for Kentucky, meaning “land of great meadows.” While the band hails from Kentucky, their music has carried them across six states around their home in the commonwealth.
Made up of five seasoned musicians with more than 100 years of combined Bluegrass performance experience, Kaintuck Band brings the energy, skill, and heart of traditional bluegrass to the stage. Their show features music inspired by the Masters of Bluegrass, including Bill Monroe and His Blue Grass Boys, Flatt & Scruggs, The Stanley Brothers, Reno and Smiley, and more.
Audiences can expect a high-energy, family-oriented show filled with traditional Bluegrass, along with a little folk, old country, gospel, and Irish music woven in for good measure.
