The National Bottle Museum is proud supporter of Blue Star Families and year participant in the Blue Star Museum Program. This year for Blue Star Welcome Week, we have a fun program planned for September 27th.
All Blue Star families that visit the museum on September 27 will receive a free “orphan” bottle. Additionally, at 1 PM, NBM Executive Director Chris Leonard will give an informal talk on the evolution of canteens from the Civil War through World War I, which includes close viewing of artifacts from both the museums and his personal collection.
You don’t have to be a member of a Blue Star Family to enjoy the event. The talk is open to everyone who visits the museum.
