Blue Ribbon Country Fair
The Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center's annual Blue Ribbon Country Fair brings the warmth, energy, and community spirit of an old-time county fair for a full day of family fun.
Watch living historians demonstrate open-hearth cooking, spinning, weaving, wood turning, and blacksmithing. Get up close with quality livestock. Browse vendors and demonstrators who bring genuine old-fashioned country charm to everything they do.
Then, get in on the action.
The Farmer in the Cove gives kids a hands-on taste of 19th-century farm life: picking apples, gathering eggs, shelling corn, doing laundry by hand, and even planting crops. The Ladies' Skillet Throw is exactly what it sounds like, and the cast iron is worth competing for.
