Blue Plate Special, Northeast Tennessee’s most prolific and attractive improv troupe is back for its monthly residency at the Capitol, after a successful appearance at the Gatlinburg Improv Festival!
From their first performance at the Blue Moon Dinner Theater in Johnson City on Valentine’s day 2014, Blue Plate Special has performed all over our region on stages in Kingsport, Asheville, Greeneville, Johnson City, and Knoxville.
After over 100 shows, the group continues to make audiences laugh with a series of short-form improvised scenes, using only audience suggestions to create entirely new worlds and characters. Blue Plate is excited to return to their adopted home of The Capitol Theater for regular 2022 performances! Come see the talented and funny group on August 23rd at 7:00 PM.
