Climate change is a complex issue. Join Wildbluesea for Florida Climate Week and explore how mangroves can help! Learn, connect and take action Saturday, October 11, 8-10 a.m. at Coral Cove Park on Jupiter Island. Visit Wildbluesea's outreach pop-up to learn about blue carbon, mangroves, seagrasses and their value in reducing carbon in the atmosphere. Discover "blue mind" and how being near in and under water increases your well-being and makes you happier, creative and connected. Finally, participate in citizen science with our Ocean Gratitude shoreline clean-up with data collection. Leave the experience more informed, restored and ready to contribute your part to climate change solutions.Blue carbon- carbon that is removed from the atmosphere by aquatic ecosystems- plays a key role in understanding and planning for the changing global climate. It has recently been determined that mangroves can remove and store up to 4x more carbon than rainforests.
