MEET YOUR SPEAKERS
About our maiden, Eleanor Hearn
Feeling like she never fit in at school, naturally tall and uncomfortable with the pressure to conform, Eleanor left high school and finished her qualifications at TAFE. A genuine and free spirit at heart, she has always been curious about other cultures and began to travel abroad, appreciating the opportunity to push her boundaries, learn to trust her intuition, develop conscious and authentic connections with others and find gratitude for everything in life. Now a nanny in her 20s, Eleanor is a devoted caregiver with a deep commitment to nurturing and uplifting the collective spirit, also practicing crystal sound healing and using her gifts to foster spiritual well-being and harmony.
About our Mother, Tereza Andjelic
Born to a strict ethnic family in Sydney's inner suburbs, Tereza married at 22 and soon became the mother of three boys, including twins. After her relationship came to an end, Tereza found herself a single mum, juggling a handful of jobs to pay the bills and raising her kids largely alone because it was the only way she could stay true to her own values. Seeking healing from her struggles, Tereza experienced the power of holistic counselling, which inspired her to qualify and begin her own successful career as a holistic counsellor, impacting the lives of people from diverse backgrounds and mental health challenges for the better. Now repartnered and also a stepmum, she has also become a shaman and medicine woman, stepping into her full potential by aligning her mind, body and soul and assisting others to now do the same.
About our Crone, Rose Cubis
Rose was raised on a small farm in The Channon hills in a large Irish/Australian family in the 1950s. She never quite fit the mould of the good catholic girl whose life options were either to get married or become a nun. After training as a Nurse in the 1970s, Rose's qualifications became her ticket to a life of adventure, working around Australia and eventually travelling the globe, before making her way back to northern NSW and settling in Nimbin to raise her children. After reskilling and transitioning to a more family-friendly career for two decades managing Aged Social groups in the region with what grew to be a large staff, she found great joy creating events for older members of the community and with the assistance of the Widjabul elders, the first aboriginal jobs in Nimbin employing indigenous workers. She continues to have itchy feet and yearn for the next adventure!
