We will read excerpts from Ulysses and share quotes to lift our literary spirits as well as our glasses.
For those of you who want to try your hand at Ulysses before the event we suggest the opening chapter Telemachus (Stephen), Calypso (Bloom — the one with the famous offal breakfast) and the final chapter Penelope (Molly). Our tip is to try reading aloud.
If you want to try reading from Ulysses we suggest chapters 1,4 and 18 to get to know the main characters.
