Join Laila’s Gift® for the 2nd Annual Blooming Inclusiveness™ Sunflower Planting, a free community event celebrating individuals with visible and non-visible disabilities while helping beautify our local environment.
As part of our commitment to the community, Laila’s Gift has proudly adopted Edgeley Grove Park through Harford County's Adopt-a-Park Program. Together, we will (once again) hand-plant hundreds of sunflower seeds that will grow into a beautiful symbol of inclusion, acceptance, hope, and community pride that we will revisit in the fall.
The sunflower is recognized around the world as a symbol of hidden disabilities and serves as a reminder that not all disabilities are visible. Just as sunflowers grow from a small seed into something remarkable, individuals with disabilities and their families demonstrate extraordinary strength, resilience, and perseverance every day.
This family-friendly event welcomes all children, families, caregivers, advocates, community members, businesses, educators, first responders, and anyone who believes in building a more inclusive world.
