BLOOMING CRABS: When Art Speaks First
About this Event
What happens when a painting refuses to remain just a painting?
What if it suddenly changes its name, becomes a story, or finds its way into a song?
And what do you do when your art seems to take on a life of its own?
Welcome to the world of Blooming Crabs.
Join Russian American multidisciplinary artist Sasha Keys for an evening inside a universe where paintings, fairy tales, songs and characters cross paths, transform one another, and sometimes take their creator somewhere he never expected to go.
Sasha will share how Blooming Crabs began, reveal the symbols and personal stories behind the works, and explore how a single artistic idea grew into an interconnected world across different forms of art.
See the art. Hear the stories. Follow the unexpected connections.
And discover what happens when art starts speaking first.
🎁 A LITTLE SOMETHING TO TAKE HOME
RSVP and join us in person for a chance to win a signed Blooming Crabs art print by Sasha Keys. The winner will be drawn during the event and must be present to win.
