Blood on the Red Dirt

Horror is often a genre about running away from secrets, but the secrets always find you! And when they do, it's probably too late!

Join us for a night of Oklahoma-based filmmaking at the Center for Public Secrets, where this intimate, 18+ event will be sure to have your bones rattling and your teeth chattering.

Featuring the following short films:

• "I'm Taking You Home" by Zach Litwack
• "Nemesis" by Dylan Cole Black
• "Go Down Diller" by Andrew Bateman (based on the story by OK-based writer Eric Howerton)
• "Crooked Face" by Cary Cody
• "Ultraviolet" by Justin Jayne

After the screening, filmmakers and audience members will openly discuss "Why horror, Why now?" in an attempt to answer why horror as a genre is so explosive and prevalent in culture today. Why do we rush toward the fear-inducing and the grotesque, and what do our entertainment habits reveal about the world we live in?

Participant Bios

Dylan Cole Black is a director, writer, and actor based out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As an artist, he utilized his talents to get into film through concept art and animation. He is now a co-owner and operator of Dead End Film House, an independent production company specializing in horror films.
