Blood of the Old World is a single day event for Warhammer: The Old World. Whether you are a newer player, experienced veteran, or a fantastic hobbyist itching to show off your recently painted miniatures, this event is a perfect opportunity to spend the day with likeminded hobbyists.

ARMY CONSTRUCTION
To play at this event you must have an army of no more than 2000 points. Details on choosing your army can be found on pages 276-283 of the Warhammer: The Old World Rulebook. Your army must adhere to the Grand Melee and Combined Arms army rules found on page 13 of the Matched Play Guide. When building your army please use the most up to date rules found in the following publications:
→ Warhammer: The Old World – Forces of Fantasy
→ Warhammer: The Old World – Ravening Hordes
→ Arcane Journals
→ Legend PDFs
→ All up-to-date FAQs and Errata. Publications released up to one week before the event may also be used at this event
Army lists should be presented in a format that’s easy to read. Please ensure you record your General, Lore(s) of Magic, Magic items, and all relevant weapon selections and unit upgrades that should be selected before a game begins.
SCENARIOS
You will play three of the six Matched Play Scenarios found on pages 20-25 of the Matched Play Guide. These scenarios will be randomly drawn at the beginning of the event. At this event, the Fixed Turn Limit and Time Limit game length rules are in effect. A game will last for six rounds, unless the 150 minutes permitted for the game expires. Secondary Objectives will only be used if a Scenario states they must be. The Secret Objectives additional rules, found on pages 46-48 of the Matched Play Guide, will also be in effect at this event. However, players may only list three secret objectives on their army muster sheet instead of the usual six.
MODELLIG REQUIRMENTS
All miniatures must be fully assembled and painted to a battle ready standard. This means all areas of the miniature must be painted and details be picked out with appropriate colours. Proxies and conversions/kitbashes are allowed at the tournament organiser’s discretion. If you intend to use any proxies or converted/kitbashed miniatures please contact us before the event.
GLORIOUS VICTORY & FABULOUS PRIZES
This event will be scored using the following three criteria:
→ Generalship
→ Painting
→ Sportsmanship
Players will earn points in each of these three categories by winning games, and getting peer voted painting and sportsmanship scores. There will also be an award for overall hobby which will comprise of the combined generalship, painting, and sportsmanship scores. Each winner will have the opportunity to select a prize from a prize table.
