Set in 19th century Kansas and inspired by real events, this murder mystery is sure to delight fans of local history and true crime. When a child is found dead in the Arkansas River, the newly settled town of Derby is shaken. Who committed such a heinous act, and will the murderer K*ll again?Solving the mystery will be the objective of all who attend a special evening fundraiser at the Derby Historical Museum on Saturday, Sept.28, starting at 7:30 p.m. Participants will study the clues and evidence, piece together the facts, and determine the missing details of the case. It will be a fun evening for the detectives among us and anyone who enjoys a mystery. Snacks will be provided for those who attend.
The murder mystery event is part of the museum’s season-long celebration of their building’s 100th birthday and will be staged at the museum, 710 E. Market, Derby. Admission for the event is only $5 per person, with a limited number of tickets available. While they last, tickets can be purchased at the museum on Saturdays (10 am – 2 pm) through September 21, or online through the Derby Historical Museum Facebook page (click on the event).
