Twelve year old Wynn was diagnosed in October 2024 with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in her left pelvis. She has been at SickKids for over 120 days, and during that time has received nearly 6000ml of blood and over 7000ml of platelets. It’s through the generosity of others that help her fight through her chemo treatments.
Often, when people see someone struggling, they want to help but don't know what to do. This is a very easy way to help Wynn, and others. Canadian Blood Services can only help those in need if they have people willing to donate. Please consider taking a small amount of time from your day to make a donation in Wynn's name.

1) Visit blood.ca/ or use the GiveBlood app to sign in or sign up.
2) Select 'Partners for Life' from the menu
3) Select 'Join an existing team'
3) Search for Wynn Van Kooten
It is important to join Wynn's team with Blood Services, as there are appointments in Lindsay on July 2nd blocked off specifically for Wynn. She will also be able to track the impact of this event and see all of her supporters! Donations can be made anywhere in Canada, not just the Lindsay location.
