Tacoma Fire Department and Central Pierce Fire & Rescue are co-hosting a blood drive to raise awareness about our new whole blood program. Our first responders will be rolling up their sleeves to donate alongside you! ADVANCE SIGNUP IS REQUIRED with the "Tickets" link!
Along with MultiCare, MultiCare Health Foundation, and Bloodworks Northwest, we have partnered to equip first responders with whole blood for lifesaving pre-hospital transfusions, improving survival rates for trauma patients.
Severe blood loss is one of the leading causes of preventable deaths in trauma cases in the U.S. In emergencies like car accidents or severe injuries, rapid replacement of lost blood can mean the difference between life and death.
