Real Madrid to announce record figures at assembly to be held on Nov. 22-23The general meeting of Real Madrid, attended by the club’s voting members, will be held on the weekend of Nov. 22-23, and it will not coincide with a home match at the Santiago Bernabéu. The calendar simply didn’t allow it. Instead, the team will be playing away at Elche (Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET). The Real Madrid board meets today, Wednesday, to approve the formal convocation and finalise the agenda items. Among those is the presentation and vote on the club’s landmark financial results. There remains uncertainty about whether the proposed change to the club’s corporate structure will be raised that day or at a later meeting. In any event, the date — Nov. 22-23 — is now set.
At the meeting, the club will unveil record financials: For the 2024-25 season, revenue hit US $1.36 billion (€1.185 billion), once again surpassing the €1 billion threshold — a milestone first achieved last year when Real Madrid became the first soccer club to hit that mark. Revenue grew by 10.4 % year-on-year. And the bottom line: a profit of US $27.6 million (€24 million).
Unanimous support
At the meeting, at least three standard items are expected: approval of the past year’s accounts, approval of the current year’s accounts, and a vote on membership dues. At the last meeting, almost everything passed unanimously, with some items so uncontroversial they were approved without a formal vote. Among the club’s voting members, support for the board is beyond question.
Real Madrid’s club structure under review
The key question: will the extraordinary session include a structural reform of the club? “Our club must have an organisational structure that protects us as an institution and also protects each of us as owners of Real Madrid,” declared club president Florentino Pérez at the previous meeting.
He added: “Make no mistake, we will do everything necessary to ensure this club remains yours, as it has in its 122-year history. In short, so that no one can take away our economic heritage. To that end, I confirm we will bring to this assembly a proposal for the club’s corporate reorganisation that, clearly, secures our future.”
