Join Fabric Designer and printmaker Lizzie Mabley for a fun, and relaxed fabric printing taster session.
During this half day session you will experiment with Lizzie’s large collection of lino blocks – including stars, trees, leaves, flowers and many more, to create colourful patterns and repeats. You will then print a pair of tea towels. As you will be using Lizzie’s pre-carved printing blocks, no carving will be necessary and no previous experience or drawing skills needed. Just come and have a play! Will you go full steam ahead with a Christmas theme? Or perhaps a sophisticated seasonal or scandinavian nature inspired design? You can even ignore the holiday theme entirely and just go for a fresh fun design. Lizzie has a huge library of unique hand carved blocks so you will be spoilt for choice. The finished tea towels would make excellent gifts, and may even inspire you to create more!
All materials will be provided and you will go home with a pair of tea towels and plenty of inspiration!
Please bring old clothes or an apron, as the inks we use are water based and eco-friendly, but they will stain.
