Join us for a hilarious evening of comedy at Liberty Bell Coffee, 5 Hamilton Street, Birkenhead, CH41 6DL. This event promises to be a night filled with joy, humour, and good vibes.
Bliss Comedy is hosted by Mary Cross, comedian, radio presenter and pun queen who is looking to create a wonderfully diverse and safe space for everyone to enjoy a night of comedy.
We aim to provide a platform to the rising stars of the UK comedy scene alongside giving opportunities for newer comics to perform. All of our previous events have sold out and we have a regular and devoted fan base who come back time and again.
This month we have we have a brilliantly varied line-up with something for everyone!
Joining us this month are:
Headliner: Stephanie Bradshaw
Stephanie Bradshaw is a stand-up comedian from Cumbria. Her first stand-up show “Big Fish” debuted to sell out audiences at the Women In Comedy Festival and at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with audiences describing her as “captivating’, ‘relatable’ and ‘hilarious’ with ‘funny bones!’
"Steph is a very warm and likeable comic with a fabulous line in cheery self-deprecation. You can't not enjoy her company on stage and she's a proper grafter - with lovely timing and material - who has a bright future." - Toby Hadoke, XS Malarkey Comedy Club
As seen and heard on Only Fans Creative Fund: Comedy Edition 2023, Co-Host of the Miraculous Cumbria Podcast, BBC Cumbria, BBC Radio 5 Live
Amy Nic
Amy Nic is a Northern comedian, actor, impressionist and presenter. Previously seen in Magic Mike Live London (West End) and heard on BBC R2 performing her impressions.
She's been described as a "goldmine to be exploited in her comedic writings" (Broadway Baby)
Jon G
So You Think You're Funny Semi-Finalist, Jon G floats through the North West comedy scene like a deviant comedy ninja. A devoted family man with a deeply naughty streak, Jon draws you in close before dropping devastating punchlines. Welcome to the Cardigan of Confidence.
Jake Hawkes
Jake mixes music, absurdist humour and performance art to create an unstoppably engaging act.
Utilising his wild ADHD energy, Jake weaves strange tales, odd observations and personal anecdotes to express all the thoughts he's ever thunk.
Jake wears many metaphorical (and literal) hats around Liverpool and the Wirral. Hosting Indigo's monthly open mic night, performing at multiple secret circus events, headlining at "Wordsmithery" and performing in/editing the comedy sketch show "TATTO".
Jo Owen
Funny Women Awards 2025 Semi-Finalist Jo is a Manchester based comedian, with a cheeky and awkward approach to anecdotal tales and ‘thinking aloud’ moments.
An assured performer, Jo shines on stage with some beautifully written material. Very funny! - Martin Bain, A Laugh In Stockport
A unique voice with hilarious ideas, left me in stitches - Allyson June Smith
You’re a funny little woman – Jo’s son, aged 3.
Ash Clark
Ash made their stand-up debut at Hot Water Comedy Club in March 2026 after completing the PSS Stand Up for Mental Health course. Backed by amazing support from family and friends, they’ve decided to jump into comedy headfirst with Bliss Comedy as their very first show as a named act.
MC Mary Cross
After breaking on to the comedy scene in 2022, founder of Bliss Comedy, Mary Cross, aka the Punning Linguist, has quickly become a firm favourite on the circuit with her own brand of high-energy comedy which leaves audiences on a euphoric high.
Shortlisted for the Funny Women Awards in 2023 and 2025, a sellout show in the Women in Comedy Festival and Lancaster Comedy Festival and UK Pun Championship Semi-Finalist in the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2024, 2025 and 2026, Mary's combination of relatable stories, original songs and linguistic acrobats is a sure-fire winner.
“Mary Cross is confident, charming, and charismatic. One of those people who has a real infectious sense of humour, a warm wit that really makes you all feel in on the jokes, not just that they’re being told to you” Blizzard Comedy
