Blind Wine Tasting Friday, March 7th, 6:30 – 8:00
Can you differentiate Chablis from Macon? Australian Shiraz from the Rhone? What is it about certain wines that tell us what they are and where they were grown?
Most wine lovers assume blind wine tasting requires ultra-focused taste buds and decades of experience. The truth it, anyone can do it with fundamental knowledge of the world of wine and an idea of what they’re looking for. Join Nate Walsh as he walks you through approaches to blind wine tasting and tries your palate at a few enjoyable lineups.
Additionally, we’ll explore the concept of “wine judging” and how judges attempt to approach a wine they know little about and rank it These two types of tasting are similar, and can be exciting and fascinating ways to approach wine.
This is a seated tasting event lasting roughly 90 minutes, during which we’ll taste wine from throughout the world. Food will be available for those who want to line their bellies. 21+ only, please.
