Blind Tasting Series

Join us for an evening of discovery and great conversation as The Black Leaf Society partners with New Jack City Cigar Lounge to kick off our Blind Tasting Series.

One of the best ways to refine your palate is through blind tasting, and we’re bringing that experience to you. Every two weeks, we'll introduce a new lineup of spirits for you to taste, rate, and discuss with fellow enthusiasts.

This week, we’re diving into the world of bourbon, exploring how different proofs can influence flavor profiles. You’ll get to sample three bourbons—one low proof, one medium proof, and one high proof. It’s a unique chance to see how varying alcohol content affects the taste, aroma, and overall experience.

How it works:
Each participant will receive three glasses, each filled with a different bourbon, along with a worksheet to capture your tasting notes. As you explore each pour, jot down your impressions, and once everyone has finished, we’ll reveal the identities of each bourbon. It’s a great way to test your palate and discover new favorites, all while learning more about the intricacies of this beloved spirit.
