Revco Doubles Blind Draw - Round 2!

$10 Entry Fee : Venmo @gsunseri to confirm your spot! We may have to cap at 28 people depending on resources. No need to bring your own partner. *if you need to cancel, please let us know asap so we can fill that slot for even numbers!*
Please arrive by 9:15/9:30 so you can grab a donut, get your stuff situated, and get your body stretched. At 9:42, we will do a King/Queen of the court drill to get everyone warm and meeting each other, then we’ll have a quick meeting at 9:52 to explain rules / answer questions and then hit the grass! We plan to have the nets set up early and would love extra hands if you’re free - just let me know!
We will play 6-8 rounds of pool play games: one set to 21. You will randomly receive a new partner each round! Depending on sign ups, we may split into different divisions or multiple pools. Please note that we hope to have no one sitting - that means everyone is playing at the same time! We will allow 2-4 minutes of a break between games for water and snacks. After pool play, we will have a 30 minute lunch break.
After pool play, the top ranked players(based off wins and losses and then point differential, if needed) will choose their partners going into playoffs. Single elimination! Winners of playoffs will get cash 🤑
We’ll have another prize for whoever has the most Style Points! 💃Style Points 🕺are points awarded for creative, crazy, or cool plays (e.g., best dive, insane dig, ultimate waffle, or funniest error), voted on by spectators, teammates, or opposing players. We will have a large white board set up the whole day for people to place a tally or two next to the player’s name.
We will provide waters, electrolytes and are looking into offering lunch for everyone (more to come on this. If anyone has a grill they can bring, let me know 🤣 or we can cater/get pizza). Bring your own waters, canopies (we’ll make a family style tent village if you don’t have one) snacks, coolers, chairs, towels, and meals if you don’t want what we provide!
Rules:
Usual Revco rules we all know and love. Biggest pointers:
- block counts as a touch
- open hand receive is allowed if it is completely clean
- call your own stuff and/or kindly call each others
- Be nice. Here for good vibes and fun
- IF we have two guys on one team, the guys are allowed to block the guy(s) on the opposing team.
