Blessing of the Backpacks & Teacher Dedication

Special blessing held at all services:
Saturday, Aug. 15 @ 5:30 PM
Sunday, Aug. 16 @ 8:00 AM
Sunday, Aug. 16 @ 10:30 AM
Each year, our supporting church, St. John’s Lutheran Church, sets aside a special time during the worship service to say a prayer of blessing over all the students. Children are invited to bring their backpacks or book bags to church. At the designated time, they will go forward and our congregation will pray over them and their school backpacks. We will also take time to dedicate (or re-dedicated) and pray over our teachers.
This is always a special time together as we speak blessings over and show love to the children, their families, and the teachers and staff as we all get ready to start a new school year. We hope you can join us at one of the services.
