Bring your creatures. . . big or small! Saturday, October 4, 2025 to St. John's BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS. A very short service will be conducted at 10:00 am followed by individual "blessings". All who participate will be given a St. Francis medal for their pet! It will take place at the newly constructed St. Francis Shrine in the churchyard.
Note: The churchyard is big, so those who don't "play well with others" can easily retire to a corner until their "turn". If you have a "difficult to travel" pet who you would like blessed, you may bring their picture instead. This is a FREE event, however, food/toy donations for Islip Animal Shelter will be accepted.
Bring your favorite furry, feathered, scaly, (you get the point) friend to St. John's! We'd love to meet them. . . .and YOU!🗝️
