The Wat Greensboro Committee and lay community, in solidarity with Wat Lexington, Wat Charlotte, and Wat Preah Ong Thom of South Carolina, will organize a special blessing and honoring ceremony for Venerable Phramaha Somsak Sambimb, Abbot of Wat Greensboro, in recognition of his 40 years of service to the Buddhist community in Greensboro, North Carolina, and surrounding areas.
We warmly invite all community members, near and far, whose lives have been touched by his selfless dedication, guidance, and teachings of the Buddha, to join us in offering gratitude and prayers for the Venerable’s continued health and well-being.
The ceremony will take place over two days, from Saturday, July 4th, through Sunday, July 5th. This will give everyone an opportunity to attend, pay respect, and express appreciation to the Venerable for his many years of service.
