Welcome to Blaze the Turf, an exciting 5-a-side futsal tournament that will showcase the best talents from BRAC University’s Summer 2024 batch. Whether you are a competitive player or someone who loves football, this event is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!
Event Overview:
Tournament Name: Blaze the Turf – Futsal Tournament
Date: 1 November 2024 (Friday)
Venue: OFFSIDE-HOME OF FOOTBALL
Host: Summer 2024 Batch (Not an official BRACU event)
Entry Fee (Boys): BDT 2500 per team
Entry Fee (Girls): BDT 1800 per team
Team Size: Maximum of 7 players per team
Players on the field: 5-a-side
Eligibility:
Only for BRACU Summer 2024 students
Teams from both boys and girls categories
Tournament Structure:
Boys Division (12 teams):
Teams will be divided into 4 groups, with 3 teams in each group.
Group-stage matches will be played round-robin style.
Group champions will advance to the semifinals.
Winners of the semifinals will compete in the final match.
Girls Division (3 teams):
3 teams will compete in a round-robin format, with the team that wins the most matches emerging as the champion.
Match Duration:
Group Stage: 10 minutes (Full time)
Semi-Finals: 10 minutes (Full time)
Final: 15 minutes (Full time)

Boys Division:
Champion: Grand Trophy + Medals
Runners-Up: Grand Trophy
Girls Division:
Champion: Grand Trophy + Medals
Individual Awards:
Top Scorer (Goal Machine)
Best Goalkeeper (Golden Gloves)
Manager of the Tournament
Player of the Tournament
Special Role: Become a Manager or Coach!
Don’t want to play but still want to be involved? You can join as a manager or coach for your team! No experience required – we’ll help guide you along the way. By paying a fee of BDT 100, you’ll be able to support and motivate your team from the sidelines.

Rules and Regulations:
1. Team Composition: Maximum squad size of 7 players
2. Footwear: Only football turf shoes or running shoes are allowed. Barefoot and boots are prohibited.
3. Decisions: The referee's decision is final. All players must respect the organizers' decisions.
4. Match Reporting: Teams must report 20 minutes before their scheduled match. Failure to show up on time will result in forfeiting the match.
5. FIFA Rules: All standard FIFA rules will apply except for offside.
6. Kick-ins: Kick-ins are allowed, but goals cannot be scored directly from throw-ins or goal kicks.
7. Yellow & Red Cards:
Two yellow cards will result in a red card.
A red card will result in suspension from that match.
8. Tiebreaker: In case of tied points in the group stage, Goal difference will be the first tiebreaker.
If still tied, head-to-head results will decide the ranking.
9. Knockout Stage Tiebreaker: If a match in the knockout stage ends in a draw, the game will proceed directly to penalty shootouts.
10. Dispute Resolution: On-field moderators will make the final decision in case of disputes.
Important Notes:
Smoking, alcohol, and drugs are strictly prohibited on the venue grounds.
Teams are encouraged to wear similar colored tops for easy identification.
Player Eligibility:
Players may not play in more than one team.
Players must bring their BRACU ID cards on the day of the event.
In-Game Guidelines:
Boys Division: 5-a-side
Girls Division: 5-a-side
Players do not need to be from the same department to form a team.
Teams must comply with all in-game and on-field regulations as per the tournament guidelines.
