Blank Canvas is officially underway! 🥳
Our first free workshop took place on Tuesday with local Ayrshire artist Aimee Kent. Participants explored drawing from natural flora, creating designs that will be carved into printmaking blocks.
Next week, we’ll be naturally dyeing fabrics using food waste before printing onto the textiles in our final workshop. The finished pieces will then be transformed into cushions by a live seamstress during our exhibition opening on Friday 26th June, 4–8pm at MAKE, 30 Newmarket Street, Ayr.

Interested in getting involved/ a creative career? We’re looking for volunteers to help with the printing and upcycled upholstery elements of the project and for students and young people keen to gain work experience assisting a professional artist in a working studio.
