Babes & Blades is an open-to-all romantasy book club, and everyone is welcome! 🖤📚
This month, we’re reading Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber.
Expect a dreamy fairytale world filled with magic, forbidden bargains, dangerous princes and plenty of romantic tension. We’ll be chatting about characters, tropes, favourite moments and all the things that made us swoon, scream or desperately need to know what happens next ✨
Whether you’re a long-time romantasy reader or completely new to the genre, come along and join us for a relaxed, friendly morning of book chat and good company.
We’ll be meeting at Hyde Park Book Club, in The Snug. Drinks and food will be available to purchase from the venue.
Please note that attendees will need to source their own copy of the book ahead of the meet-up.

The Snug has step-free access via a wheelchair ramp, and an accessible toilet is available on the ground floor.
The front entrance has step-free access to the main bar and café.
You're welcome to bring Medic*tion, food, drink, or medical equipment. Refrigeration can be arranged if requested in advance. Assistance dogs are welcome, and water bowls are available for them.
Getting there
Taxis can drop off on Headingley Lane. The nearest bus stops are Hyde Park Corner and North Hill Road, around a 3-minute walk away. Burley Park Station is approximately a 25–30 minute walk, while Leeds Station is around a 10–15 minute taxi ride away. There is limited on-site parking, with additional on-street parking available nearby on Grosvenor Road.
